동부콩 cowpea

 

 

 

 동부콩 cowpea, blackeyed pea. 강두(豇豆), 장미목 콩과 Vigna속의 덩굴성 일년초. 아프리카 북미 인도 중국 원산. 잎은 겹잎이며 잔잎 3장으로 이루어져 있다. 꽃은 길다란 줄기 끝에 2, 3송이씩 피며 흰색·자주색·연노란색을 띤다. 꼬투리는 길고 원통형이다.
