붉은강남콩 scarlet runner bean

 

 붉은강낭콩  scarlet runner bean, 학명 Phaseolus multiflorus Willd. 중남미원산. 장미목 콩과 강낭콩속의 덩굴성 여러해살이풀이지만 한해살이풀로 재배한다. 잎은 어긋나고 사각형 넓은 달걀모양이고 소엽이 3장씩 나오며 엽병이 길다. 꽃은 8월에 붉은색으로 피고 원뿔모양꽃차례를 이룬다. 열매는 협과로 줄 모양이고 길이 10cm이다. 흰꽃의 흰강낭콩(for. albus)이 있다.

어제부터 어깨 좁은 손님들이 하나둘씩 들었다

가진 것 조금씩 내놓아 계를 연다

번갈아 한 분씩 목돈이 닿는지 하얀 손님들이 내려온다

멀리까지 마실 온 우리 할머니 솟곳에도 길쭉한 주머니가 달렸다

개평 뗄 동전들이 조금 있다가 통통히 여물겠다

얼굴이 함께 붉어진다
