붉은강낭콩 scarlet runner bean, 학명 Phaseolus multiflorus Willd. 중남미 원산. 장미목 콩과 강낭콩속의 덩굴성 여러해살이풀이지만 한해살이풀로 재배한다. 잎은 어긋나고 사각형 넓은 달걀모양이고 소엽이 3장씩 나오며 엽병이 길다. 꽃은 8월에 붉은색으로 피고 원뿔모양꽃차례를 이룬다. 열매는 협과로 줄 모양이고 길이 10cm이다. 흰꽃의 흰강낭콩(for. albus)이 있다. 보문산
