차즈기 즉 자소엽(蘇葉) perilla. 꿀풀과의 일년초. 히말라야, 중국 원산. 중국이 원산인 꿀풀과의 한해살이풀로 차조기라고도 하며 북한 이름과 한약명은 차즈기다. 줄기는 곧게 서고 높이가 20∼80cm이며 단면이 사각형이고 자줏빛이 돌며 향기가 있다. 차즈기는 잎이 자주색이고 꽃이 붉은색이라 구분이 쉽지만 청소엽은 마치 들깨와 흡사하다. 청소엽 Perilla frutescens 꿀풀과 들깨속의 일년초. 높이 20-80cm. 잎은 청색으로 마주나기하고 엽병이 길며 넓은 달걀모양이고 양면에 털이 있으며 가장자리에 톱니가 있다.  꽃은 8-9월에 피고 백색이며 분과는 지름 1.5mm로서 둥글다. 열매를 식용하고 잎은 종자와 더불어 발한, 진해, 진통 및 이뇨제로 사용한다. 보문산.
