말바비스커스 Malvaviscus arboreus Cav. 영명 Turkcap. Turk's Turban. Ladies Teardrop, Scotchman's Purse. 잎과 꽃에 밀랍(Wax) 같은 물질과 잎이 당아욱과 비슷하여 Wax Mallow. 아욱과의 상록관목, 멕시코 원산. 높이4m. arboreus는 나무같은의 뜻이다. 꽃잎이 활짝 펼쳐지지 않는 것이 특징이다. 나머지는 히비스커스(Hibiscus)와 비슷한 점이 많다.
