여뀌 Pepper smartweed

마디풀과의 일년초인 여뀌 waterpepper, Pepper smartweed 는 버들여뀌, 매운여뀌, 날료(辣蓼), 수료(水蓼), 택료(澤蓼), 천료(川蓼)라고도 한다. 키 40~80cm 지혈의 효과가 있어 상처가 났을 때 찧어 바르기도 하고, 물에 풀으면 물고기가 정신을 잃어 떠올라 잡기도 한다. 각기, 감기, 강심제, 개선, 고혈압, 만성피로, 부종에 효능이 있다.
