장대여뀌 Tall smartweed, 다른 여뀌는 새큼한 맛이 나는데 이 녀석은 밍밍하니 바보랄 수밖에... 학명 Persicaria posumbu  줄기는 높이 30~60cm 정도이고 밑에서부터 가지가 많이 갈라지며 비스듬히 선다. 꽃은 5-10월에 연한 홍색으로 피고 열매는 수과, 삼각상 난형, 검은색으로 윤기가 난다. 줄기 전체에 털이 없고, 잎 끝이 꼬리처럼 길어지며, 꽃차례에 연한 분홍색 꽃이 듬성하게 달리므로 구분된다. 본초명은 총지료(叢枝蓼).
