갯국 Gold and Silver Chrysanthemum 일본 원산으로 국화과 다년초. 일본 해국. 학명 Chrysanthemum pacificum. 해안 지역에 주로 자라 갯국화라 불린다. 10~11월경 줄기 끝에 노란색의 작은꽃이 뭉쳐서 핀다. 진한 녹색 잎과 샛노란 꽃의 대비가 선명고 잎을 정면에서 보면 흰색 잔털 때문에 녹색 잎의 가장자리에 흰 줄무늬가 그려진 것처럼 보인다. KBS대전총국.
