백묘국(白妙菊) Dusty Miller, Silver Cineraria, 지중해 원산. 국화과의 다년초. 설국(雪菊). 백국(白菊). 학명 Senecio cineraria. 속명 Senecio는 라틴어 Senex에서 유래되었는데 '백발 노인'이라는 뜻으로, 하얗게 올라온 백묘국의 털 때문에 붙여진 이름이다. 고급스럽고 우아한 잎에 비해 노란 꽃이 쳐지는 느낌이다.
