엉겅퀴를 찾은 나비와 벌 tiger-thistle

엉겅퀴 tiger-thistle 학명 Breea segeta ,영명 Creeping thistle, 한자어 자계채(刺薊菜), 야홍화(野紅花), 가시나물, 항가새.  대계(大薊) 가장자리에 깊이 패여 들어간 거친 톱니와 더불어 가시동물로부터 줄기와 잎을 보호하기 위한 것이다. 양면에 털이 있다. 꽃은 6~8월에 자주색 또는 붉은색으로 핀다. 주로 소화기·운동계 질환과 신진 대사를 다스리며, 본초명 우구자(牛口刺), 호계(虎薊)는 혈증 질환에 효험이 있다. 어린순은 나물로 먹으며, 다 자란 식물은 비만, 고혈압, 출혈, 염증을 치료한다.
