새머루 Oriental Grape. 갈매나무목 포도과 포도속의 덩굴성 낙엽 활엽식물. 학명 Vitis flexuosa. 머루를 닮았으나 머루보다 못하다고 하여 새머루가 되었다. 길이 3m. 잎은 덩굴손과 마주나기하고 달걀형의 원형 또는 삼각상 달걀형이며 갈색 털이 많고, 톱니가 드문드문하다. 꽃은 암수딴꽃이며 연한 황록색으로 5월 말 ~ 6월 중순에 피고, 열매는 장과로 지름 8mm 검은색이며 10월에 성숙한다. 열매는 潤肺(윤폐), 止咳(지해), 淸熱(청열), 凉血(양혈), 消食(소식) 등의 효능이 있다. 식장산.
