사위질빵 열매 Clematis apiifolia

사위질빵 Aoiifolia Virgin`s Bower은 미나리아재비과 으아리속의 갈잎덩굴나무로 질빵풀이라고도 한다. 학명 Clematis apiifolia DC.  사위질빵과 할미질빵(혹은 할미밀망)은 아주 비슷한데 애틋한 전설이 있다. 이 꽃들은 덩굴 식물들인데 다 등짐을 메는 줄로 사용한다. 사위질빵은 줄기가 가늘고 연약해서 잘 끊어지므로 백년손님인 사위가 짐을 질 때 주었다. 할미밀망은 줄기가 굴고 튼튼해서 잘 끊어지지 않으므로 미운 시어머니가 짐을 질 때주었다고 해서 이런 이름을 붙였다. 할미밀망은 꽃이 세 개씩 모여 핀다.
