멜람포디움 Melampodium

 

 

 

멜람포디움 Melampodium paludosum. 초롱꽃목 국화과 멜람포디움속의 다년초. Butter Daisy, Star Daisy, Gold Medallion Flower라고도 부른다, 중남미 원산. 15~30cm. 주로 여름철에 노란색이나 흰색의 설상화가 핀다. 설상화가 흰꽃은  레우칸툼(M. leucanthum)이며, 플레인 블랙풋(Plains blackfoot), 블랙풋 데이지(Blackfoot daisy)라고도 부른다. 노란 별 꽃(Yellow star flower)이라 불리는 디바리카툼(M. divaricatum)은 M. paludosum 보다 자잘하다. 한밭수목원.
