섬서구메뚜기 Atractomorpha lata

 

 

섬서구메뚜기 Atractomorpha lata Mochulsky, 1866.장단메뚜기. 섬서구메뚜기과.  성충은 6∼11월에 나타난다.  수컷은 20mm, 암컷은 수컷의 2배인 40mm로 초식성이며 녹색과 갈색형이 있다. 머리는 원추형으로 가늘고 길게 돌출되어 있고, 더듬이는 칼모양이며 앞가슴은 길고 넓적하다. 앞가두리는 직선이고 뒷가두리는 둔하게 모가 나 있으며, 앞날개는 끝이 뾰족하고 길고 가늘다. 섬서구는 추수 후 볏짚을 삼각형 모양으로 세워놓은 뜻에서 유래한다.
