뺑쑥 Artemisia feddei 초롱꽃목 국화과의 여러해살이풀. 높이 1m. 꽃은 8∼9월에 피고 총포에 거미줄같은 털이 약간 있다. 전초는 약용으로 쓰이고 모깃불용으로 이용된다.

쑥들끼리 모여서

쑥세상을 이루었다.

 

모진 생명끼리 모여서

밟히면 밟힐수록

쑥덕쑥덕거리다가

쑥덜쑥덜거리다가

쑥얼쑥얼한다.

 

머언 머언 옛날, 옛적

쑥 한줌과 마늘 스무 개를 먹고

굴속에서 백일 동안

햇빛 보지 않아

곰은 우리네 할머니가 되었다는

이야기가 햇빛에 반짝반짝

흐른다.

 

그 쑥밭에 누워

그 쑥내음에 취해

우리네 하늘을 쳐다본다.
