비짜루국화 saltmarsh-aster

 

비짜루국화 saltmarsh-aster. 국화목 국화과 참취속(쑥부쟁이속)의 두해살이풀로 길가나 빈터의 햇빛이 잘 드는 풀밭에 서식한다.

높이 50-100cm 북아메리카 원산의 귀화식물이다. 꽃은 8-10월에 피고 가장자리가 자줏빛을 띤다. 학명 Aster subulatus Michx.

빗자루를 만들어 썼는지는 알 수 없고 아마 빗자루 만들기에 좋은 형태를 지녔기에 붙은 이름일 것이다.

비짜루는 백합과의 식물이고 빗자루는 비 혹은 비에 달린 자루이며 비자루는 빗자루의 북한말이다.
