꽃보다 아름다운... 참나무순혹벌 Neuroterus nawai (Ashimead) 유시성충의 몸길이는 2∼3mm이고 몸은 검은색이며 작은 편이다. 유충은 유백색으로 다리가 없으며 번데기 모양이다. 4∼5월경 참나무류의 새가지 선단부에 직격 20∼30mm의 벌레혹을 만든다. 참나무류에서 흔히 관찰되며 피해를 받으면 생육이 나빠진다. 성충은 5월 하순∼6월 중순에 우화 탈출한다. 성충 탈출 후에는 벌레혹은 건조해져 망가진채 장기간 수상에 남아 있다. 우화한 성충은 교미 후 참나무류의 뿌리에 산란한다. 식장산.
