체리 세이지 Cherry sage

오텀 세이지 Autumn sage, San antone oregano, 꽃이 붉어서 단삼(丹參). 학명 Salvia greggii Gray. salvia 는 꿀풀과의 여러해살이풀. 깨꽃. scarlet sage(붉은색 세이지) 높이 60~120cm. 잎은 대생하며 난형이다. 1~12월에 진홍색 꽃이 피며, 오레가노와 과일향 비슷한 강한 향이 난다. 흰색, 보라색꽃도 있다. 보통 체리 세이지(Cherry sage)라고 부르고 있으나 잘못된 이름이다. 체리 세이지는 Sage microphylla HBK.의 영명이다.
