배치레잠자리 Lyriothemis pachygastra Selys. 잠자리과 배치레잠자리속. 길이 20~25mm, 5~9월에 나타난다. 배의 생김새가 다른 잠자리에 비해 넓적해서 붙여졌다. 암컷은 배의 등면 중앙을 따라 세로로 굵은 흑색 줄무늬가 1개 있고, 수컷은 차츰 흑빛이 증가하여 몸 전체가 적색을 약간 띤 흑색으로 변하여 거의 무늬가 없어진 반성숙 상태가 된다.
