페니로얄민트 Pennyroyal Mint, Pudding grass, 꿀풀과의 다년초. 유럽 원산. 학명 Mentha pulegium L. 높이 10~20cm. 줄기는 포복하며 잎은 타원형이고 거치가 없다. 8~9월에 줄기 상부 엽액에서 연보라색 꽃이 층층이 핀다. 잎은 페퍼민트향이 나며 맛은 쓰다. 국소 자극, 소화 촉진, 수렴, 발한, 해열 효능이 있으며, 생리불순을 치료한다.
