생강 生薑 ginger. 건강(乾薑), 학명 Zingiber officinale Roscoe. 생강목 생강과의 여러해살이풀. 우리나라에선 한해살이풀. 아시아 남동부가 원산. Zingiber 는 그리스어 징기베리스(zingiberis)에서 유래했는데, 이는 산스크리트 향신료 이름인 singabera에서 나왔다. 잎같이 생긴 줄기는 키가 1m 정도로 자란다. 잎은 줄기를 둘러싸고 있는 잎집에서 나오는데 길쭉한 잎 2장이 수직으로 어긋나 있다. 꽃은 녹색의 포(苞)가 겹쳐져 있는데, 각각의 포가 1송이의 작은 황록색 자주색 꽃을 둘러싼다. 한방에서는 소화불량, 위한(胃寒)·, 창만(脹滿), 천해(喘咳), 구토, 설사 등에 쓴다. 민간에서는 감기에 걸렸을 때 생강즙이나 생강차를 마신다. 울금과 강황의 차이 ht..
