낙상홍(落霜紅) Leaf of Serrate Holly, 猫秋子草, 疮草, 노박덩굴목 감탕나무과. 학명 Ilex serrata Thunb 일본 중국원산. 암수다른나무이다. 열매가 아름다워 조경수로 색재하거나 꽃꽂이 소재로 이용한다. 낙상홍은 꽃이 연분홍이고 미국낙상홍은 흰색이다. 낙상홍은 꽃잎이 4~5장이며, 미국낙상홍은 꽃잎이 5~8장이다.
