위장옥(偉壯玉) Ferocactus herrerae F. 불꽃통선인장, Ferocactus acanthodes var. roetii 멕시코, 미국남서부 원산. 술통모양．강하고 굽은 가시가 특징이다. 높이 3m까지 자라는 중대형 선인장으로 체색은 진초록 또는 회록색을 하며, 몸체는 구형에서 원통형으로 성장한다. 보통은 단구이나, 나이가 들면 자구를 발생하는 경우도 있다. 13∼23개의 능은 곧으며 끝이 뭉특하다.
