백목련 Lilytree , 학명 Magnolia denudate. 중국 원산의 낙엽 활엽 교목. 백목란, 백란(白蘭), 생정(生庭). 높이 15m. 양성꽃으로 3 ~ 4월에 백색으로 피며 열매는 갈색이고 9월에 성숙한다. 꽃봉오리는 辛夷(신이)는 두통, 鼻淵(비연-악성 비점막궤양, 축농증), 鼻塞(비새), 치통을 치료한다. 芳香藥(방향약)으로서 쓴다.
